Farmers of the Sea describes the system characteristic of tuna fishing in Sicily. The exclamations and songs of the fishermen and the noise of the water are the only audio of this short film that in general terms is fairly conventional. The final images (at dusk, the day’s fishing finished, the boats are towed by a tugboat that fills the air with the dull sound of its motor) evoke a sensation of peace and beauty.
